May find little noisy, however Cairo doesn't sleep. After a good days walk one falls asleep well. Walking distance to many amenities. Enjoyed the stay. ."

"Yes room was very clean against the bad reviews for all hotels of Cairo , staff is courteous and very helpful. Location is excellent , right on the Main Street in front of Tahrir square , walkable from everywhere and go bus terminal is just 5 mins walk if you want to get to or from other cities. In short a great place if you love to explore the city on feet and be close to all cafés and downtown. "

"Entering the hotel lobby, you feel old Cairo and you could see who stayed there in the 60’s and 70’s. If you want to really experience Cairo you have to stay downtown Cairo and at the old hotels. The hospitality of the staff may not be 5star, but it is certainly genuine. "

"Our host Nagwa was the absolute best. The mosquitoes were horrible. The neighbors were loud everyday, all day and night. The delivery people and the people who worked at the apartment expect to be tipped just for doing their job. The host went above and beyond to make sure we were ok. If we needed extra household supplies she would send them over. When we needed to order food she allowed us to us her account because apparently you need an Egyptian telephone number to be able to order anything....
