We toured the UK and this was the best hotel by far. I loved everything about it. Nice, small apartment with everything you need. Responsive on-site service. Very friendly and clean. I wish there were more of these all over the UK.
Cozy and quiet. Near enough to everything that we could walk. EXCELLENT staff, all around, truly. Very pleasant breakfast served downstairs each morning. Highly recommend.
This property was beautiful and exactly what I needed to get away for a week in July. I got the most inexpensive room and it had a smart tv, spacious shower, very comfortable queen bed with flat sheet and fluffy duvet/comforter and comfy pillows, small library, electric tea kettle, tea cups with spoon and saucer, instant coffee and tea with milk and sugar, space heater, and hair dryer. It also had a beautiful courtyard with colorful flowers. Will return in the future.
What a wonderful stop on our trip! The property was beautiful and Edele and Alessio were so attentive to our needs. We had a seven course tasting menu and breakfast prepared by Sonia Russell and Louise Hynes. The food at both meals was so delicious and there was so much attention to detail. One dish, the pea and mint soup, brought tears to my wife’s eyes. The house and rooms were beautifully decorated and we were very comfortable. We cannot say enough about The Blackwell House. We will...
The Rostrevor Inn is perfectly located in the middle of town and near Kilborney Park. We were sad the restaurant was closed the night we were there, but the room (we got the Narnia room!) was very comfortable and the breakfast delicious and filling. The best part was the wonderful friendly bartender who checked us in, though. We loved Rostrevor and would happily stay here again.
Just a lovely spot, 5 minutes driving from town and the shore in Newcastle, 15 or so to some great hiking trails. Grounds are very nice and there’s a gentle climb down to the river, a beautiful spot on the patio to sit out for a drink or morning coffee — and the breakfast was excellent as well (I had to go for the Ulster Fry (similar to the Full English) both mornings. Wish we could have stayed longer, but hope to go back. Seems to be a holiday spot for the Irish and those from the UK, not...
