We arrived at Matt's Rest after several very hectic days of work for a place to rest before traveling back to our home. The B & B exceeded our expectations. The rooms were very clean, the beds exceptionally comfortable. The staff were very friendly, accommodating, and helpful. The breakfast was very pleasing. Overall the B & B is in a quiet neighborhood with no distractions or noise. We will definitely consider staying here the next time we are in this part of South Africa.

I was worried about the power issues in South Africa and I thought I might be impacted at this location but the guest house had power all night.

Good value for what was needed on the night before Comrades. Good value breakfast in the morning.

The rooms themselves were great and the breakfast was delicious. However, there is a shared kitchen which is available to prepare any other meals…it is not in good condition at all and needs some serious TLC if the space is to be offered for guest use. For example the oven is FILTHY, the sink is perpetually full of used, dirty dishes and cutlery/crockery/glasses/cookware all need to be upgraded/replaced. I think the shared space is a great idea, but it has to be drastically improved to reflect...

Had a fantastic 3 night stay at this gem of a place. The room and grounds were meticulously kept. The Spa experience was fantastic. Had a message and facial, and both ladies who gave the service were incredible. Extremely professional in every area. Thank you!!! ALL the staff at Granny's Mouse were awesome in every way.
