Learn more about Blowing Rock
Tucked into the Blue Ridge Mountains, this village offers a perfect blend of small-town charm and outdoor adventure. Main Street invites exploration with its boutique shops and cozy cafes housed in historic buildings. The town's namesake, The Blowing Rock, creates an unusual upward wind phenomenon that locals claim can return thrown items. Moses H. Cone Memorial Park offers miles of carriage trails through stunning landscapes. Thrill-seekers can hit the slopes at Appalachian Ski Mountain or enjoy the vintage amusement park experience at Tweetsie Railroad. After hiking Price Lake's shoreline trail, browse the Blowing Rock Art and History Museum for a taste of mountain culture. For spectacular views, the Mile High Swinging Bridge at nearby Grandfather Mountain isn't for the faint-hearted.

The Embers Hotel
"Goodness! We have been traveling to a different hotel the entire week on vacation. This was, by far, the nicest hotel room we've stayed in, and in such a beautiful little town!! We can't wait to return! The balcony was a bonus to end the day on.....the restaurant and sweet little "treats" when we arrived were perfect. The staff was incredibly accommodating and wonderful. Thank you for such a wonderful respite visit we experienced!"
Swiss Mountain Village
"Is was a nice place and beautiful surroundings. All the people that stayed around us were supper sweet. The parking was ok for me because I have 4 weel drive but my cabin neighbors did ha e hard time and one got stuck backing up."
Hemlock Inn
"Good setting with nice gazebo for gathering. The rooms were fine but needed to run the dehumidifier to improve the comfort."
Boxwood Lodge
"Great location! Walkable to Downtown Blowing Rock! Quiet and spacious rooms."
Cliff Dwellers Inn
"It’s a quiet place to stay"
Meadowbrook Inn
"Parking is tight and limited like all mountain parking. We enjoyed the pool and the provided pool towels were a nice amenity. We just missed the outdoor fire pit every night of our stay but it looked really fun so we'll try to do that on our next trip. The staff were all very friendly and helpful."
Chetola Resort
"The rooms are large and comfy. The grounds were well manicured."
The Windmoor Hotel
"Very clean and spacious room. The only complaint would be the pillows. Instead of four very thick pillows, it would have been more comfortable to have two more normal thickness pillows."
Azalea Garden Inn
"The room was clean, the customer service was wonderful, and the location was fantastic. Our family would stay there for our next visit to Blowing Rock."
