Learn more about Stratford
Dive into the coastal charm of this Connecticut town where the Housatonic River meets Long Island Sound. Boothe Memorial Park's eccentric collection includes a miniature lighthouse and clockwork observatory that will leave you pleasantly puzzled. Kayak along the river's gentle current, keeping eyes peeled for ospreys and herons before retreating to Short Beach for afternoon sun. The National Helicopter Museum celebrates local aviation history with surprising depth for its modest size. Theater enthusiasts shouldn't miss performances at the historic Shakespeare theater site. After exploring Roosevelt Forest's quiet trails, reward yourself with fresh seafood at waterfront restaurants where locals debate which spot serves the best lobster roll.

Hilton Garden Inn Shelton
"Our only issue was with the testing of the fire alarms on a Saturday night. We were not forewarned. On the morning of check out, no staff was available. One of the cleaning staff had to go find someone for us."
New Haven Hotel
"The location is perfectly central to the downtown area. A lot of stores are in walking distance. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The main floor area was very well kept especially where the microwave was. The room was a nice size. I had the 2 queen beds. My sister and I had enough space so that we weren't in each other's way. Beds were nice and comfy. I have pain in my lower back, so I was pleased that it wasn't too soft or too hard. The bathroom was nice size and I didn't feel like everything was on top of each other. Does anybody have flavored coffee creamer anymore??? Not a Starbucks coffee drinker, but flavored coffee creamer would make it more tolerable for those of us that don't drink or support them. (Just my lil ole 2 cent) ********************************************* Parking is across the street from the hotel. Parking garage is well lit, no traffic jams finding a space to park (we were there for the weekend). My only disappointment was that after all I spent to be there comfortably, I still had to pay for parking. It was one flat price (24 or 26 a day?) and you could come and go as much as you wanted... but this seems to be the new norm of paying for parking. It tends to be an inconvenience if you don't budget for it. I can understand if you were using the valet service. Maybe you're room key get you in and out, but at the end of the day it's still an added expense."

"Easy check in. Free parking in safe lot. Clean facility. Room was decent. Stayed in better and had rooms with better sound proof walls but overall great pick at price, location and quality. Would stay there again if in the area. Secret hidden gem of the area was KA. WA Korean restaurant. Phenomenal. Hard to get into and would not walk from the hotel because of 95. Maybe during the day with light traffic but not at night busy traffic. But food was amazing."

"always clean, comfortable beds, and exceptional staff that remembers your name even when you haven’t visited in a while."
Trumbull Marriott Shelton
"Was always the “go to place” in the area to stay. Unfortunate they haven’t done any updates. Outdoor pool was gross, rooms needed fixing. Almost a ghost town. Again, unfortunate for Marriott"
