Learn more about Colfax
Tucked into the rolling wheat fields of the Palouse, this small riverside town offers a quintessential slice of rural Americana. Main Street reveals historic buildings housing local shops worth exploring at an unhurried pace. The Perkins House museum showcases Victorian architecture and period furnishings, while the dramatic confluence of the Palouse River's north and south forks creates scenic viewpoints throughout town. Nearby Steptoe Butte State Park offers panoramic vistas of undulating farmland that resembles a golden ocean when wheat ripens. The quirky Codger Pole commemorates a rematch football game played by senior citizens, while Boyer Park & Marina and Palouse Falls State Park provide water recreation and spectacular waterfall views.

Quality Inn Paradise Creek Pullman
"Great breakfast, friendly staff and free parking"
Courtyard by Marriott Pullman
"The room was fantastic, clean and comfortable. Staff were great and friendly. Informative about the location and how everything works. Really close to campus for those interested in WSU"
Best Western Plus University Inn
"This hotel is right across from U of I. That’s one reason why we love it. The breakfast is great and consistent. The rooms are fine and clean. The hotel in general is a little out dated. They should have decent shampoo and soaps for guest in all rooms. Parking is great and close to all doors. Great value for the most part. All staff is friendly."
Cougar Land Motel
"I liked the price of my room. It is a great location. The employee was very helpful and professional. My only complaint is the room smell. It had too much of a flowery smell. I believe it is the stuff that they use on the carpets. Not a bad smell, just way too much."
Residence Inn Pullman
"Definitely a great place to stay! This is going to be my new favorite hotel in the area."

"Breakfast omelettes and clean room"
American Travel Inn
"I needed a very simple room that was inexpensive for my stay while my dog was going to have surgery at WSU Veterinary Hospital. The kind woman that was at the check-in desk could not have been kinder to me. My dog passed away before ever getting to the surgery and I ended up staying an extra night before I took the 7 Hour drive home. She could not have been more understanding and caring. That meant a great deal to me, especially when I was traveling alone and faced such an unexpected tragedy. The room supplied everything I needed, which was the tiny microwave, a nice queen, size bed, and a tub with a shower. The only negative was when all of the people in great big trucks started their engines at 6 AM and let them idle for several minutes before departing. Cleanliness was also one of the most important things on my list and my room was spotless. Ironically, the parking lot was being pressure washed so everywhere I looked. It was clean, clean, clean."
