The system was down when I was checking in, but the staff handled the chaos with grace and quickly got me into my room. We were a large group and they were extremely friendly and accommodating.
We could not believe what a charming, relaxing, beautiful place this was. Dale and Judy were perfect hosts who shared their knowledge of farm life, barn collections & antiques. Judy is a fantastic cook who serves food with flare on different dishes every day. Each room was decorated differently. We stayed in the Roost. We didn't want to leave. Staff was very helpful in grouping our family together. We especially enjoyed the use of the large common room by th 13 grandhildren (and some adults, and great grand children too). Only problem with the facilities was that our toilet was clogged when we first checked in. The staff unclogged it quickly but it left my germophobic wife uncomfortable with the facility for the remainder of our 3 night stay.

Incredible stay. I know it said bed and breakfast but we were blown away by the breakfast and treats that were in a jar by the entrance. Given that it is an old house I was nervous about the cold but it was cozy and warm. Not too hot at all. My only negative is regarding how quiet it is, I felt like I had to whisper in the room because I didn’t want to disturb the peacefulness. If you want a calm, relaxing stay with great food and beautiful architecture, this is the place to be.

Very inexpensive but does not feel like it. Room included a frig , microwave and coffee pot. Room was clean and quiet and the bed was comfortable. Have stayed here twice before and will always choose this when coming through.
Staff was awesome considering it was a packed hotel and she was very overworked. Very clean and comfortable room. This place never disappoints and we will continue to stay when we come to town.
It was zero degrees outside and the wind was blowing 40 mph. Inside my room it was toasty warm, I slept on a new mattress and the waterpix showerhead had plenty of water pressure to work wonders on my muscles. All in all a wonderful weekend at a great rate. I will return when I want a wonderful time in Mason City.
