"If you are here to stay in your room all day, this review is not for you. If you are here to have a decently priced home base for day trips to Ojai, Ventura, Santa Barbara, and beyond, AND to explore Carpinteria, THIS is yoyr place. Comfortable beds. Fridge and microwave. Good pressure in shower. Great place to crash and to occasionally watch movies while recuperating from hikes and walkabouts."

"The hotel was very nice and close to everything. We didn’t have the daily breakfast because it didn’t look great so we just went into town for great coffee and breakfast. But all in all it was great stay and the staff was very nice. We did use the hot tub and that was a great way to end the day."

"Staff were friendly, helpful and accommodating for early check-in and late check-out. The room was spacious, comfortable and well appointed, down to the way the towels were folded. The property was lush with tall palms, banana plants and myriad greenery which created a calming environment. The self serve breakfast was a pleasant surprise. A hot tub was a wonderful amenity for an evening soak after a full day of walking."

"The outside is cute and it is a good location but our room needed to be redone. There are no bathroom toiletries provided so make sure you bring what you need. I saw an open room that had nice plank flooring like the photos but ours had old carpet and the room was just old & depressing. It did have a little kitchen but we didn’t use it. They also provide a little happy hour with wine & cheese. We didn’t take advantage of the breakfast but I believe it was pastry’s. I just think for the money our room was not worth it, but maybe some of the other rooms are."

"The hotel was very well maintained and a great bargain in Santa Barbara. The room was extremely clean and large. The bathroom was very nicely laid out. Breakfast was very convenient and the property was in a great location in town. The property is older but that didn’t detract from anything during our stay."
