Sip world-class Pinot Noir at tasting rooms along the Foxen Canyon Wine Trail, where vintners pour with small-town friendliness rather than pretension. Bell Street offers a surprising food scene where farm-to-table isn't a slogan but simply how things are done. Take a detour to nearby Solvang for Danish-inspired architecture that feels charmingly out of place in California wine country. OstrichLand USA provides an unexpected encounter with enormous birds who seem perpetually unimpressed by human visitors. The laid-back vibe makes this Santa Barbara County gem feel like a secret that wine enthusiasts have been trying not to share too loudly. Bring a designated driver – the generous pours at Martian Ranch and Bedford Winery demand it.
"The staff was so nice at check in and the room was beautiful! It was booked as a “city view” but I couldn’t really see the city just houses from our window. Despite that it was gorgeous and I would definitely book again! The restaurant next door was also amazing! "
"I really enjoyed my stay at Vinland Hotel and Lounge. We stayed in a double queen room, and it was clean and comfortable. The beds were comfy, and the balcony was a great bonus—perfect for relaxing. The bathroom was nice and updated, which I always appreciate.
The bar had a cozy atmosphere, and the staff was friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. The location is excellent—easy to walk around and explore the area without needing to drive. Parking was also easy and convenient, which made everything stress-free.
One small note: I wasn’t a fan of the pillows, so I’d recommend bringing your own if you’re picky about that. Overall, a great stay, and I’d happily return."
"Got the Junior suite. Good size clean room. Next to elevators but didnt bother us that much.
Breakfast was ok , no danish.
Beautiful back pond with small bridges and koi fishes."
