The hotel is definitely a bit dated but it is clean and funky. The restaurant is absolutely fantastic (don’t miss Taco Tuesday!!) but every meal was yummy and good value! The beach is lovely and the hot spring spa pool is to die for— just be sure to check the schedule so you know when it is really hot from the refilling. We like to do activity based travel, and Palmas was a great home base to do this from. There is a great deal to do in the area, and the hotel is central to all of it. Fishing, ATV trips, hiking, mountain biking, diving/snorkeling, kite boarding and windsurfing are all available.
We arranged fishing right at the hotel, and our 9 year old (a passionate angler) caught a Marlin. It was a dream come true for him - thanks Captain A!

Had another great stay at Las Terrazas - nice, big rooms that are very comfortable, appreciate the air conditioning and the cable TV so we can watch football games while traveling. Run by a very friendly and accommodating family - and delicious food at the restaurant, still the best shrimp-stuff chile rellenos I've had anywhere! Can't wait to come back.
Couldn't ask for a better staff - all very helpful and eager to please. This isn't fancy - it's comfortable and relaxing. Our two week stay included three very good meals a day! The pool is nice, the bartenders are fun, and the beach is awesome. We went to celebrate our 50th anniversary and it was the best vacation ever!
Fantastic place, secluded, backed by mountains reminiscent of the Saguaro National Park (Tucson, AZ) if the latter was located by the sea. Rooms are spacious and immaculate. Food is good and sometimes spectacular, especially their fish carpaccio. We visited in mid-February and it was low season, with only few other guests. Attention to details (e.g. quality soap) was great. Loved it.

We very much enjoyed our stay. The room was very comfortable with a beautiful view of the Sea of Cortez, we loved having bicycles to get around, the gym was excellent (although it would be nice if there was at least one more bench), the food was quite good at all the restaurants (although it was disappointing that Casa Brasa was only open for lunch), the pools and lounges were great and the architecture and landscape were beautiful.
