Great place to stay in Tunis. The staff is very friendly, and the hotel is really clean. The complimentary breakfast was a lifesaver before going out to do fun stuff.
Third time in this hotel, and as usual, welcoming staff, clean, and comfortable rooms, very decent breakfast , location is good, and easy access to old Madina "twenty minutes good walk" and the airport is a short drive, for tranquility and peace of mind I do strongly recommend this hotel
A charming hotel in a great historic location with lots to see in the immediate vicinity. The restaurant was excellent and reasonably priced. Only drawback is it's on a street too narrow for a taxi so you'll have to walk part of the distance. But I would stay here again.
This was a stunningly beautiful Tunisian Villa, authentically restored to its origins as a 17th century merchant's home in the heart of the souk. It was an authentic cultural experience with old world hospitality and modern necessities, free wi-fi and updated western bathroom. I was unfortunately here for only a short business stay, but I would describe the hotel as extraordinarily cozy and romantic. Delicious Tunisian meals were served in the beautiful interior courtyard. Staff were friendly...

The staff and managers are very friendly and helpful. The room is comfortable and clean. Prices are very reasonable. If you're driving, they have secure underground parking. And the breakfast buffet is very nice.
It’s a very nice historical place, beautifully decorated. Clean and quiet . The bed was very comfortable. Staff were nice as well.

We booked two beds and got only one. The room was too small to put in another bed. There was other bigger rooms, but we were not assigned for, despite that we made reservation a few months in advance. This was a bit disappointing.

I highly recommend The Hotel Royal Victoria - Ex British Embassy, Tunis, Tunisia, for any foreign traveler, not because it is centrally located (next to the Medina) and tour companies frequent this area, not because it is an historically important landmark, not because there are local restaurants within walking, not because all the internal woodworking - doors, ceilings, furniture was updated and all are hand painted by local Tunisian craftsman, not because of the fabulous breakfast buffet, but...
I can't say enough about how perfect this place was. The location is absolutely perfect and I used the map and recommendations provided throughout my trip. I stayed in the Blue Room and the original tiles were beautiful. The breakfasts every morning were absolutely delicious. Every one of them could be on the menu at any top brunch place in New York City. The cat also made my trip. It never came into my room, but waited for me outside of my door every morning wanting a cuddle.
As a first time visitor, not only to the hotel but to Tunisia as a whole, I must admit that I really enjoyed every bit of my trip. There was nothing I disliked except the way the people drive😂😂😫
Beautiful property. Very safe. Spacious well-kept rooms. It's on a hill, so every room has a great view of the city or lakes. EVERY member of the staff is helpful and polite. I even extended my stay a few days.
