The staff was wonderful. They even met us at the square and navigated our car up into their parking area. They just went over and above doing anything they could for us! The cottage was roomy, decorated nicely and super clean. The staff brought us anything we needed and even let me know when the spa was ready after it went down for 15 minutes. The views from the cottage were superb- from the terraces all the way out to the sea, and the garden with it's citrus and vegetables draped everywhere....
We highly recommend spending a night or two here. The hotel is wonderful and the grounds are so peaceful. We also recommend getting dinner here. The food was great, some of the best we had in Sicily!
We booked a room in the Rock annex. It was an entire, fully equipped apartment. The Rock annex is located across the street and down about one block from the main hotel. To be honest, other than doing the initial checkin and a walk around, we never went to the main hotel building. The pool is located there and there is a small bar. However, we were not in Taormina to sit by the pool, so it was of little interest to us. The apartment was wonderful! Quiet. Accessible to everything. Best, I was...
We spent our anniversary there and it was amazing! We can't wait to return. The views overlooking the picturesque aqua- green waters of the Sicilian coast was priceless, a memory not to be forgotten!
Was happy about the sea view room we selected. Loved watching the sunrise in the morning. Comfortable room and helpful staff. Breakfast was good, although it would have been better if they opened up before 7:30.
This hotel was exactly what I needed. Lovely and comfortable inside, beautiful park across the street, private parking which I badly wanted, and such a friendly and helpful staff. Delicious breakfast too.
Property and room were clean and well maintained. Breakfast buffet and staff were excellent.
Only problem was banging noises late at night from the room above. Also, stairs at entrance can be a problem for handicapped people.

The staff at this hotel were incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. The rooms were immaculate and very comfortable. We also enjoyed the delicious dinner the Hotel restaurant . The view from the patio when you’re having cocktails was spectacular and when you would order drinks they bring you little appetizers to enjoy . And loved the convenient location close to major attractions.
We loved the Santa Caterina hotel, and would highly recommend it to anyone, families, couples, singles. It is in a great location to visit many of the beautiful towns surrounding it, Etna, and Catania. Acireale is Baroque as is much of this part of Italy and very close to the Isole Ciclope of Odyssey fame. Fabulous area, great food, local life.
We loved this hotel. Right by the Main Street they had a lovely and necessary roof top pool. The breakfast was average by Sicilian standards. The front desk staff especially Vincenzo was helpful and nice. He helped us arrange parking and an excursion to a beach club north of Taormina.
