Christa was a fantastic hostess, and a wealth of knowledge about Sicily. Highly recommend staying here. It's close and easy to get to Syracuse, but away from the crowds. A very relaxing, lovely experience. Great for families or couples.
My niece and I stayed at Villa Favorita for two nights with identical bedrooms (303 and 302). Each bedroom had a nice little balcony. The rooms were on the smaller side - as were the bathrooms - but for one person per room they are adequate. The hotel itself is a beautiful, rustic complex of buildings (I assume an old farmhouse). A perfect place to stay to visit the UNESCO sites nearby. The host was most helpful in helping us plan our travel details to these areas. He also arranged dinner for us at an excellent nearby restaurant.

This is a small boutique hotel, located about 15 min walk from the island of Ortigia. The walk is easy, safe, and interesting. It is down one of the main streets. The same walking distance is toward archeological park. I liked the location of this hotel - it was right in the middle, next to a lovely park and had a free street parking.
