My wife and I stayed here while visiting Peneda-Gerês National Park. Sao Bento was a fantastic location for exploring the park and trails in the surrounding area. The hotel is a short 10-15-minute drive to Campo do Geres, where we went on a great hike (Cidade da Calcedónia trail) followed by a terrific drive through the park, along the Rio Homem (lake) to the Spanish border, and back down N-308-1. Outstanding stay here! Very clean and aesthetically appealing hotel. Great mountain cabin vibes. Breakfast was delicious and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Each room had a small balcony with an incredible view. Off-street parking was available. We were able to walk directly from the hotel into great hikes in the mountains and also walk easily to restaurants and grocery store. Wonderful visit here.
