I have booked for 2 bedroom beach front pool villa to celebrate my birthday and it turns up to be a surprise proposal by my fiance. Staff is very friendly, the check in process were pretty fast but check-out process need to be improve. Very nice hotel conveniently located in center of downtown KK. Walking distance from street markets, malls, beaches, mosques, and waterfront port areas. Room was clean and everything from water bottles, towels, and sheets were changed daily. TV had many channels in English, Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Malay, etc. Breakfast buffet was different everyday and served delicious local dishes including freshly brewed coffee from the cafe. This was a good hotel for the price. It was spacious and definitely convenient with all shops and dining. Only thing I didn’t like is in order to enter the staff have to buzz you in.
If there is one thing to highlight about Bunga Raya, that's the staff: they were all really well trained, helpful and friendly - from this perspective, one of the best experiences we ever had. The ladies at the massage were also really good.

We were on the last two days of our 6 day trip throughout Malaysia, starting in Kuala Lumpur and Sandakan. We wanted to wrap up the holiday with two relaxing days at a resort, doing much of nothing. We arrived at the Jesselton Ferry facility via taxi from the airport. The room was spotlessly clean and well maintained. There was even a nice little common hallway with extra toiletries and coffee/tea packets. The host provided a waterproof beach pouch which was exactly what I needed that day. The location is unbeatable. It's literally upstairs from the most amazing grilled seafood night market. 10/10.
