Everyone was very kind and concerned about our experience. The hotel is beautiful and located on the edge of the historic area. The rooms are comfortable. They serve an amazing breakfast and tea. When on the first day, restaurant staff learned I was a vegetarian, they went and made special food for me! Then, afterwards they checked in with me to make sure I had a good selection. Quite amazing. A wonderful choice in Penang.

I stayed six nights in early February. Because the location was great, I walked to restaurants and shops in Georgetown. My room was big and had a sea view. The cleaning crews cleaned my room twice a day. The front desk staff was friendly, polite, and helpful. However, during six nights of staying at E & O, I have had some negatives feelings about this hotel. First, some guest were pretty rude. I had a great stay at this hotel and would absolutely come back. The room was lovely, comfortable, and beautifully maintained. The cleaning staff deserve a special mention; they did such a wonderful job keeping the room spotless throughout my stay. The hotel is superb! The beds were comfortable and the rooms were nice and clean. The staff was very helpful as well. I only have positive things to say about the hotel. The location is the only thing I didn’t like. This was our first time to Penang and this part of the city is not walking friendly at all. The hotel simply great, we paid a fair price and the conditions were amazing. There are two G hotels, located near each-other. You can simply walk to mall (5 minutes) or take a buggy from hotel there as they do a shuttle between the hotels. The room was wonderful. Very clean, modern, and spacious. Although the hotel is a little ways from the historical downtown, you can take the free bus (CAT) and get off at stop 11 and from there the hotel is less than a10 min walk. CAT made it very easy to get anywhere in town from the hotel. The only negative was the wifi was awful. It was constantly dropping and I had to reconnect multiple times each session.
