City HideAway
8/10 Good
"City Hideaway is was close to shopping and restaurants. The staff was friendly and very helpful. My only issue was the street and pedestrian noise. Our room faced the entrance to the building. This was out of their control. What they were able to control, was done efficiently."
Queen Street Place
10/10 Excellent
"This was a great find. The room was small but clean - it looked new. There was a fully equipped kitchen, lounge and TV area on the floor that was spotless. I never saw anyone in there. The block was quiet and secure but close to everything. It was a little pricey but I chose the Galway racing festival to stay without realising so the entire city was booked out - it would be worth checking the dates if you want to avoid crowds!! There’s a very clean laundry area on site, free tea and coffee and they will loan you a hairdryer. I highly recommend this place, perfect for a solo traveler. I would definitely book again!"
Harbour Hotel

Clybaun Hotel Galway
10/10 Excellent
"What a fabulous hotel! Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Spacious bedroom, enormous bed and fabulous breakfast . Free lemonade in lobby and ice cream on arrival for all children. Definitely coming back!"
Maldron Hotel Sandy Road Galway
8/10 Good
"Great hotel, good to know that you need to have your key handy to get to your room and you need to leave it in the slot to keep your light on"
Clayton Hotel Galway
10/10 Excellent
"Everything was great Stagg was excellent !"
Eyre Square Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Location, location, location: this hotel was in the heart of the city and close to everything. It was 2 minutes from the train station, and everything else was a 5-7 minute walk. The staff was amazing!!!! It was my daughter's birthday, and after mentioning it to them, they decorated our room with brownies, chocolate, and a card while we were out on a day excursion, making her day extra special. They really went above and beyond, and our triple room was huge."
The G Hotel and Spa
10/10 Excellent
"Very friendly and helpful staff from the reception to Dining to the Spa."
Radisson RED Galway
10/10 Excellent
"I booked in a solo trip just as a getaway from the humdrum. The hotel staff accommodated my disability needs well. The 'premium' room has a view, although due to the location of the hotel, the view is somewhat lacking. If you can ignore the industrial estate in the foreground, you do get a lovely view across Galway city. The food and cocktails are absolutely gorgeous. I was warmly greeted and treated with respect and friendliness. The menu offers a variety of vegetarian offerings that are delightful. Special shoutout to James, who prepared his first ever Cosmopolitan just for me, which was very nice! Also to Chika and Magdalena who were so generous with their time in helping me get my food and drink. The entire staff was so friendly! I do have a couple of disability related quibbles: Getting past the fire doors to the rooms was difficult with the wheelchair because there are no automatic doors available. Perhaps that's a fire safety thing but it made getting to and from my room time consuming. Also, the outdoor lift used to access the front door of the hotel needs better signage. If someone does not make certain that the gate to the lift is latched, it will not function. I had to call the staff to help me on several occasions. Simple signage encouraging users to make sure the gate is latched would be very helpful. Overall I enjoyed my stay, and will certainly return with my husband for an evening of good food and drinks. Next time perhaps we will try the rooftop bar!"
