This is a lovely hotel with wonderful staff! They made it a great stay and will really take good care of guests.

Jo was super friendly with great communication. Nice location. Clean room. Tasty breakfast & dinner at the Fountain Inn. Highly recommend!

Very nice and welcoming owners. The room was quite large and very comfortable. The only downside is that it is bit hard to find, especially after dark. Address numbers are rare and the name of the house is limited in size due to legal limits. There should be a bit more info on how to find the place in the listing or confirmation.

History, staff was great!

We had a wonderful time during our 11 day stay. The staff is phenomenal, so attentive, professional and helpful. We stayed in the Oak Suite and would highly recommend to everyone. The Juliet balcony and private deck was perfect for morning and evening relaxation. The boat cruise was just steps from the Lodge and hiking along the Wye was an easy walk where you could see the rapids and kayaks working hard. Kudos to the staff and management for an awesome experience.

We loved our stay - the room was very comfortable and bed was king size. Breakfast was good and accommodated vegans. Our dog was very welcome and they even offered a doggie breakfast! Staff were very friendly.

Booked this last minute - staff was very genuine and helpful. Linens smelled really good.

I liked its convenient closeness to the Forest of Dean which is filled with wonderful walks and picnic spots. My personal favorite is the River Severn and its docks with it's many moods and long river-side walks. There is now a cafe and toilets there.
