"We stayed at the Borgia Resort for one night. The hotel is excellent. The rooms were clean and good sized. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We’d ordered room service and the service was quick. We were a party of 8 in three rooms and all the rooms were great. Breakfast in the restaurant was quite nice with a wide variety of Assamese, Indian and continental options. The reception staff were also very helpful and organised our jeep safari very easily and at a good price too.
The only downside to the hotel was that it is not very good for people with accessibility issues. There were a lot of stairs even to get to the reception. And yet more stairs up and down to get to the first level rooms. My parents are quite advanced in age and had great difficulties climbing all these stairs to get to their room. Although there are ramps and wheelchairs, the ramps were quite steep and didn’t inspire confidence to be taken on them in wheelchairs.
Unless you have accessibility needs, this hotel is definitely worth staying in. The surroundings are great with birdsong all the time and the central (Kohora) range - the best range, is a stone’s throw away. If it wasn’t for the accessibility issues, I’d give it a definite 5 stars. "
"My family came in for a 2-night stay at the resort. We had a wonderful time at the national park. I have nothing but positive to say about the property itself. It was beautiful. A lovely swimming pool, very comfortable rooms, and spacious bathrooms. The dining area was clean and very large. The food is quite pricey and we opted for an early dinner. The food was average in taste. It did not seem like it was made fresh. The breakfast buffet was top notch, however. The biggest complaint is the lack of local transport. The hotel has 2 safari jeeps of its own. There re really no dining or shopping options nearby the resort. But when we asked for transportation to a nearby restaurant, the hotel attempted to charge 2000 rupees - we opted to overpay for a local auto instead. When asked for a drop-off at the safari, a price of 1200 rupees was quoted, with the front desk person demanding up front payment to his personal UPI. That was a bit disappointing. I expect better from a nice resort in Kaziranga. They should have reasonable transport available either from their own staff or from a trusted local partner. "
