This hotel was perfect while staying in Turrialba to go white river rafting on the river. Its walking distance to downtown and to the bus station (I arrived via bus from San Jose and walked to the hotel in minutes). The staff here is wonderful. Great breakfast, simple and clean rooms. This hotel is awesome and for an affordable price!
Very nice location one must know not to use Google if driving to this hotel on their own contact the hotel for proper directions or else you’ll end up in a coffee plantation this place is beautiful the owner was very nice and the food was good
The location was beautiful and peaceful. We would definitely stay here again. While we had some problems at checkout (they couldn't run a credit card because the staff at the desk "didn't know how"-- we had to pay in cash). I'm assuming this was an anomaly, as the rest of our stay was very enjoyable. Rooms are large and clean, although not air-conditioned, which was fine. Excellent food and caring staff. Can't beat the location and view.
We stayed here to celebrate my husband’s 60th birthday, and this place is absolutely beautiful. The property is peaceful, scenic, and truly feels like a hidden gem. The only concern I had was that the website listed kayaking and lazy river tubing as available activities, but when we arrived, we were informed that they do not currently offer them. Would highly recommend this place. The owners just couldn't be nicer or more helpful. The cabins are bright, comfortable, and clean. The location is convenient to the Mirador de Ujarras and the Ruinas de Ujarras as well as multiple good restaurants. The citrus trees on the grounds attract lots of interesting birds. We saw at least 35 species from our porch. Hanging out with their adorable, super friendly Doberman was a big bonus for us.
My husband and I stayed here for two nights at the end of June and it was spectacular. The food, service, activities, spa, and grounds exceeded our expectations. We were a part of the first group of rafters allowed into (and out of) the lodge following the torrential rains and at no time did we feel unsafe. We also took advantage of the opportunities to use the spa, partake in the canyoneering and canopy tours in addition to the waterfall hike. All of which we highly recommend. Truly the only...
