"I would have given the property 5 stars, EXCEPT for the fact that Choice Hotels, the owner of the hotel, thinks that having a beautiful looking shiny white shower tub floor is better than putting rubber strips or a mat down so that it’s not slippery!! I stepped into the shower, only ti discover that the shower floor is incredibly slippery and, in addition to no floor safety, no hand rails in case I slipped and fell!! I asked the reception staff for a mat for the floor, only to be told head office likes the nice clean look of the shower without a rubber mat or strips and so they don’t have any!! Really??? What about guest safety? Apparently the staff have been asking their Head Office for months, for some safety strips, only to be told it would spoil the look!!"

"Was pleasantly surprised by the room we rented. Room number 1. Had a private washroom, fridge everything we needed for a 2 night stay at the beach. The bed could be a queen to give 2 adults a little more room. We were grateful for the air conditioner and coffee machine. They supplied a couple bottles of water, some granola bars which help when heading to the beach. Would be nice to have a patio door to go outside from the room but it was just a short distance to front door. The common area was pleasant but very stuffy and and damp but was told they just cleaned up after flooding so I'm sure a dehumidifier will solve the issue. Close to beach, right beside a great restaurant, parking right out front. Would stay again in room 1. The gentleman who helped us get to our room was pleasant and very helpful. Everyone was friendly."
