It was a good decision to stay at the golden plaza. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable for 3 person stay for a night. The road leading to hotel was in a bad shape, but all the troubles in the lead up to the hotel were worth it given the price, the warm reception at the desk and ease of checking in. Great hotel with very helpful staff. Being forgeigners we did not realize how far Zirakpur is from the airport and from Chandigarh (it's nowhere near as close as it looks on the map), therefore I'd only recommend this hotel if you have a car or specifically need to be in Zirakpur, since you'll have to take a bus/taxi into Chandigarh to get anywhere. Other than that the hotel was clean, modern and had great staff!
