We were visiting from the US and visiting Colditz Castle. This stop was wonderful with clean, quiet, comfortable accommodations. The water park is a big hit with the locals and visitors alike. Some of the best food we had on our trip. I'd definitely choose to stay again.
Really nice hotel for the buck. Rich continental breakfast included (ham, salami, variety of cheese, vegetables, buns) served by waiter! Serve beer in the outdoor garden with benches. Can be great for friends get together.
On the downside, need to keep windows open to get a fresh air into the roo which allows sounds from outside (people talking while having their morning coffee) to come inside. Also curtains do not block the morning sun quite well.

I would recommend this hotel in Grimma. The hotel is outside of the city in a quiet area nearby a river. You can enjoy a lot activities there. The restaurant was amazing. Nice brekfrast. My overall rating 10.
Room was large with enough beds to sleep 5 people. Everything was clean and free breakfast was excellent and there were lots of options to choose from. Loved that this was just a short walking distance to Sonnenlandpark so we kept car in the hotel parking lot and walked into the park.
It was tough finding a parking spot at night when we arrived as the lot was pretty full but managed to park on the side of the patio. I would definitely stay there again if going to that park.
