The Beaches Guest House
10/10 Excellent
"The room was on the second floor but was just about manageable for me with a back condition. The room was clean, a bit of updating would be good as it was quite dated. The room faced the main road and was busy with traffic and also very noisy with the amount of seagulls that gathered but that is normal in a seaside town. Tamsin the owner was lovely and very helpful and accommodating. The English breakfast was lovely and included in the price. I would stay there again but preferably choose a room on the first floor next time."
"Amazing location and friendly staff. It’s going through a refurb and the lift is currently out of order but they warned us before hand and offered to help with luggage! The hotel is so quaint and the room was perfect for us (family room)! Our room had an amazing view of the abbey! Breakfast was lovely with plenty of choice. We had Sunday lunch in the restaurant and that was amazing!! 0% alcohol on tap which is amazing (I’m alcohol free and normally stuck with bottles).Planning on many more trips here!!"
"Had a lovely stay at Argyle House, was comfortable and convenient. Easy to find and Bill gives you all the information you need. Close to major attractions and in a very walkable area. Room was clean and the slight gothic decor in our room was fun and on theme for the area. "
"A very comfortable room, clean and tidy. It had everything we needed. We appreciated the fridge being available, and tea and coffee. Easy to get to the beach and town centre. Thank you so much for a lovely stay!"
"Staff very nice and helpful, very knowledgeable about the history of the building. Best breakfast in a long time, quality bacon, sausage and black pudding."
"We had a wonderful stay, Keith & Yvonne were fantastic, we even had a few pints in their pub in the evening. They sorted parking out for us and made us feel really welcome. The full English breakfast was perfect. "
"We had a lovely welcome at check in 💕
The parking was super we got parked outside which was convenient and we were given a parking permit. So that took the stress out of parking as Whitby was busy. The hotel is quirky and fabulous which we loved. We stayed in the crows nest on the the top floor. It had 3 bedrooms, living room, bathroom and seperate toilet. Each room is themed and the kids loved the treasure chest full of dressing up! Our room had beautiful views over the harbour. We went out for dinner to Trenches it's was amazing. Best fish and chips in Whitby 💕 We only booked room only so for breakfast we went out too! But there is an option of a continental breakfast at the hotel .We used the hotel as a base it's a super location and great for a short stay especially for a family of five which is difficult to find 💕. We were also given complimentary milk and tea and coffee making facilities in our apartment and fresh orange juice in the morning which is a lovely touch thank you! We would recommend experiencing this unique hotel which capulates the imagination and looks over on to the famous Whitby Abby 💕We had a wonderful stay thank you to the La Rosa hotel and wonderful staff!"
