We had a wonderful two nights at The Grove. Richard, Michael, and their staff greeted us and treated us as long lost family. Locally sourced menu, more than comfortable, clean rooms. After an unfortunate flat tyre, all hands to the wheel to help and comfort us. A group of walkers shared the lounge with us upon our return and were equally solicitous, folding us into their adventures. Excellent village pub with great staff and atmosphere that matches its surroundings and in keeping with good old inn values. The chef provides a great variety of flavors and quality dishes all served hot and on hot plates. The stairs are somewhat challenging for the elderly and mobility impaired. I didn’t realize when booking that I could have requested a ground floor room. My bad - should have read the small print. Would definitely stay again if in the area.
