Macdonald Cardrona Hotel, Golf & Spa
10/10 Excellent
"Nice modern hotel , helpful staff , clean tidy modern rooms . Food was more than acceptable although bar a little pricey ."
Belstane Manor B&B
10/10 Excellent
"My wife and I stayed over for one night, really enjoyed our stay, very relaxing setting and if you like horses then definitely come here. Very friendly and attentive staff. We are planning to come back with our kids so they can go horse riding. Thanks very much."
Barony Castle Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"The hotel was so beautiful and so friendly! We arrived very late after a lot of traveling and the staff was so available to help us get settled. The room was clean and comfortable and breakfast was lovely. We would definitely stay there again!!"
Mercure Livingston Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"An overnight stay only before a flight out of Edinburgh. The property filled our requirements completely. Recommended."
St Ronans Hotel
8/10 Good
"Good clean room and quiet at night for a good night’s sleep. Staff very friendly and helpful, continental breakfast was included with a huge cafetière and there’s some nice little restaurants along the high street."
New Lanark Mill Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"We went as a family of 4, there was a small park, a walk and dinosaurs about Lanark, the kids loved it and we enjoyed exploring the area. The hotel had a pool although we didn't get to use that as we only stayed one night. We used the soft play which was great for the 2 year old but maybe a bit young for the 6 year old. Would definitely stay here again"
The Tontine Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"I enjoyed my stay in this lovely old hotel. Rooms were clean and comfortable, meals were very good and staff were great"
Traquair Arms Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Very short but pleasant stay as always."
Balmoral Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Our room was big and very comfortable and the mini fridge with water and fresh milk was a nice touch. The shower door was a bit dodgy and needs looking at. Breakfast choice and quality was excellent and all cooked to order. Service was pleasant and efficient. We found a free parking space directly opposite the hotel and, even though it is on the main road through Moffat, we didn't find it noisy or too busy to cross the road. If you were there for long enough, it's worth noting that the Edinburgh bus leaves from outside the hotel making a day trip to the capital possible without using the car. We would use this hotel again if in the area."
