Very cool place

Room was excellent, roomy and very clean. We enjoyed the large bathroom and the heated floors. Breakfast was very nice. Reception was superb.

Tolles moderneres Hotel mit sehr sauberen Zimmern und bequemen Betten. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Wir fühlten uns tatsächlich willkommen. Außerdem sehr kinderfreundlich. Es liegt fussläufig zur Altstadt. Wir haben das Hotel zufällig entdeckt und waren sehr begeistert. Sollte es uns erneut in die Gegend verschlagen, würden wir es erneut buchen

The best place we stayed during our 2 week travel in Bavaria. The hotel has two buildings. We stayed in the historic one, and the ambience is charming. The newer one, where the checkin desk is located, is also nice. Both hotel restaurants offer great dinner options. The breakfast (served in the newer building) is excelent -- one again, the best in these two weeks. The location is most central. Parking: you can park overnight for free in the street just nearby, during the day it is 2 hour limit....

This property is well maintained and the service was excellent. It is roughly 10 minutes walking distance to the train station which has routes to Nuremberg and Rothenberg. The restaurant is fantastic and very well priced. Our room was spacious (even by U.S. standards) and modern, and I never heard any noise from neighboring guests. Lovely quaint hotel , very large rooms, more like a very large one bedroom apartment than a hotel room. Very comfortable, and lovely views of potted plants in an interior private entrance to the rooms. Relaxing! Centrally located. The only slight negative was the breakfast buffet in the restaurant across the cobblestone street, owned by the hotel. Not at the same standards in our opinion than the other quaint hotels we stayed in throughout Germany. But certainly passable.

We were very pleasantly surprised by our stay at Burg Colmberg. We had wanted a hotel with old world charm but were not expecting such modern amenities in the rooms, too! The setting itself is lovely and the castle is fun to wander through as there are interesting public rooms to explore. From the moment we pulled up, the staff was very welcoming and helpful. When I arrived I was overwhelmed at how clean the hotel was from lobby to room to gasthaus.I stayed there for eight nights and on one occasion around 9:00 PM I was eating in the gasthaus and I could see straight into the kitchen with its clean white walls and a lady was standing on a ladder cleaing the insides of the light fixtures and ceiling. Hotel was a great place to getaway close to many castles to visit and countryside to take it. The room was set up beautifully and came stocked with snacks and drinks. The hotel restaurant was great we ate there 2 of our 4 nights. The Menu is very accommodating and the staff very friendly and helpful (they have English menus as an option).

It's a wonderful hotel in the heart of a charming Franconian city. Top-notch.

The hotel was much larger than we expected for the small town of Herrieden, but it was a very nice stay. The breakfast was very nice and we appreciated the scrambled eggs! The room was comfortable, but could use air conditioning in the warmer months. We look forward to coming back!

A lovely hotel right across from the famous church. Staff was very friendly, room was just right, and the buffet breakfast was wonderful. Such a pretty breakfast room with a nice table setting. Best coffee I had in a long time.

Exceeded our expectations! Charming, clean, picturesque, helpful staff, gorgeous decor in room and lobby, fireplace outdoor seating, best breakfas buffet we had in Europe. The epitome of a German hospitality inn. Highly recommend. Lost my heart at Meisers! Its that awesome!
