This hotel is clean and cozy and perfectly situated to visit old town in Melk, including the abbey. So fun to step out the door onto a charming street full of cafes and shops. The hotel staff are friendly and helpful and the free breakfast buffet is absolutely fantastic! I appreciate that the windows in the rooms open fully and also the fun little jars of candy at the checkout desk and restaurant for guests to sample. Tasty!

This hotel was truly stunning with views out our window of the Danube. The staff at Reception was warm and accommodating, making us feel comfortable and cared for. BUT the restaurant staff, though attentive, were cold and off-putting. Also we were rather disturbed on our 2nd day to realize that a floor lamp was removed from our room.
