"The Yunomori onsen ryokan was one of the best places I've ever stayed at. The Kaiseki breakfast and dinner was incredible and the staff were 10/10 amazing. We had an in-room onsen and it was perfect. The entire place was clean and incredibly cozy. I would absolutely recommend Yunomori to anybody! It's a short walk to Yuno Lake nearby and also some beautiful waterfalls. I highly recommend this place to stay in Nikko. It was a very special experience for us. "

"My family enjoyed our stay in the large, comfortable, extremely tidy and well fit-out property. Although on our arrival it was hard to walk to (with suitcases) from Tobu-Nikko, and very few buses. Access was much easier when we hired a car. Close to small convenience store and short drive to grocery store. Best was the artificial hot spring bath. Thank you for hosting this lovely property."

"The property is located within walking distance to all the heritage attractions of Nikko. Big plus if you are spending the time to visit those attractions and downtown Nikko. The dinner and breakfast were included in the "half board" package. Wonderful food and beautifully presented, very typical of the Japanese ryokan style. We had the Japanese style tatami room which is very spacious. It has ensuite toilet and wash basin but not the shower/bath. That you have to go to the onsen common...

"This place was a Mom & Pop operation with a very familial atmosphere. Ken and Ise were very welcoming and helpful with helping us get settled, finding our way around Nikko and just generally friendly and helpful. If you're interested in a more homey atmosphere vs. Corporate hotel this is the place for you "
