The facilities were good, clean and the staff was always very helpful. The only concern was on our first night stay when the fire alarm went off at 10:30pm and there was no one there to direct the guests on what to do or where to go. After half an hour someone finally came and turned the alarm off. There was no response from the fire department!
We loved the staff, the cozy restaurant, and free breakfast. The room and bathroom were roomy and comfortable. We would definitely recommend this hotel.
We loved our stay at this hotel. The staff were exceptionally good - so friendly and helpful. The location is great for exploring the Dalsland area. We were able to hike, swim, paddle board, and kayak. The food at the hotel restaurant was excellent. We'll be back!
These are nice little cottages with some beautiful scenery. You check in at the hotel/restaurant, then drive up the hill to the cottages. They are nicely equipped with a kitchenette, so you can have a nice meal overlooking the lake. The lady at the front desk was very nice and helpful.
We enjoyed our stay at the Stadshotell. The room was great overall, although it could use more counter space in the bathroom. Frukost was great, although you need to learn to make CRISPY bacon, not lumps of fat. Restaurant menu was outstanding.
You need a photo of Amal's most famous singer in the hallway: GUNNEL EKLUND, instead of all the blues singers who have no genuine connection to the city.
Rooms facing highway have a fair amount of road noise, no air conditioning so not able to shut off noise (does have an air vent window, only one floor so did not want to leave main window open). Good breakfast and scenic breakfast room. Very clean, friendly staff. Not much else in area but a good overnight stay. Would stay again.
