This was a backup choice after our 1st choice was not open for business via another booking service. It's further in the hills of Thuringia but we'll worth the drive. The rooms are well done and immaculate, the restaurant is incredible, and the staff does well with English only travelers for a remote location. If we are back in this area, I will look this one up.

Magical stay in a beautiful castle! I ate the best meal I have ever had in the restaurant and the breakfast buffet was extensive and tasty! My husband said he had the best eggs! It was just a lovey stay, but book a taxi ahead of time as it’s difficult to reach them if you arrive in the evening. Go into Eschwege as it is a picturesque town with a very helpful tourist center.
If you are visiting Wartburg Castle, there is no better place to stay. The walk through the woods to the castle is magical. The room is decorated comfortably with quality furniture. The breakfast is full of variety with a view to match. We ate dinner in the hotel restaurant and were very pleased with the food and service.
Amazing time , we loved the Porsche decoration , and to top it , they had a classic Porsche meeting the day of our stay!
We will def stay again , when we are back in Germany! Super centric as well, so you can stop by on a long drive !
