I stayed one night while traveling around Kagawa in my rental car. The Hotel O. Setouchi seems to be a new, small boutique hotel. Easy parking on site. Easy check in. Friendly staff member. Though the room was a little small, it was modern and tastefully decorated. I was given a pass to use the large onsen across the street, which was wonderful for my legs after a long day of hiking / walking. The onsen complex has a restaurant. Other than that, I didn't see any restaurants within walking...
The staff was incredibly kind - greeted me with a smile and the check in process was smooth as was the check out! The room was nice and clean but there wasn’t any soap whatsoever in my room. I’m sure if I needed some I could have asked but I was only there for a night and then I left so it didn’t really matter. The best thing about this place is the natural hot springs mineral bath. The hotel is clean, well kept and the service is great. The downside is the location. The only reason to go here is the mineral hot springs bath or on business. Public transportation is an extreme challenge with this location for foreigners!
