Tianjin City Center
Tianjin City Center mixes ancient traditions with colonial grandeur in a delightfully walkable package. Drum Tower stands tall amid bustling markets while clay figurines and traditional snacks tempt your wallet. European-style buildings line the Five Great Avenues, creating dramatic contrast against the ornate temple rooflines. Ancient Culture Street buzzes with folk performances and crafts that showcase authentic Tianjin heritage. Metro lines 1, 2, and 3 make getting around a breeze with trains arriving every few minutes. You'll find everything from street-side jianbing pancakes to upscale Cantonese restaurants in this foodie paradise. Boutique hotels in converted colonial buildings offer historic charm while business hotels cater to travelers needing modern comforts.
Heping
Heping District mixes old-world charm with modern Chinese energy in Tianjin's cultural heart. The Five Great Avenues showcase over 2,000 colonial mansions where European architecture meets Chinese heritage. History buffs will love exploring the Former Residence of Puyi and admiring the 1863 grandeur of the Astor Hotel along bustling Jiefang Road. Dining options range from upscale restaurants in historic buildings to street vendors selling famous goubuli steamed buns. Heritage boutique hotels in converted mansions offer historic charm with modern amenities. Getting around is easy with excellent subway connections on Lines 1 and 3 plus abundant bike-sharing stations throughout the neighborhood.

Binhai
Binhai serves up futuristic sights with a side of coastal charm in Tianjin's economic powerhouse. Architecture buffs flock to the eye-catching Binhai Library and Cultural Center, while business travelers navigate gleaming corporate towers. Take a break at Haihe Bund Park or stroll along artificial beaches with Bohai Sea views. The TEDA Football Stadium adds a sporty kick to your exploration. Metro Line 9 zips you to central Tianjin every 20 minutes, though the area's sprawling layout makes walking between districts tricky. Hotels cater mainly to business travelers, with upscale restaurants serving international cuisine and seafood specialties. Pack your camera for those modern skyline shots and ocean breezes.

Wu Da Dao
The Wu Da Dao neighborhood has lots to see including Binjiang Avenue Shopping Street and Former Residence of Gu Weijun.

Shangri-La Tianjin
"This is my third time staying at this Shangrila hotel. The location is perfect and the service is excellent. The checkin staff (a gentleman sorry I couldn’t see his name without my glasses :( ) was very helpful. He remembered my name and birthday. They sent a birthday cake on my birthday to my room, which was a nice surprise. Thank you!"

"awesome room and breakfast."
Hilton Garden Inn Tianjin Railway Station
"I really like the local breakfast. The city view is amazing. Staff member always tried their best to help my partner who doesn’t speak Chinese. There are 2 robots delivering food, super cute!"
Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites Tianjin Downtown by IHG
"This is one of my best stays across the world, and the best in China. Just superb and at a great price. Large modern room, awesome view, a pool, polite staff, everything very nearby (although, yes, you need to walk a good ten minutes to line one’s Er Wei Road metro station), and yet you are in a non touristy residential-feeling area (actually a huge hospital precinct). Do yourself a favour if in Tianjin and stay here."
Hilton Garden Inn Tianjin Five Great Avenues
"I came down to Tianjin for two days unexpectedly from Beijing. The rooms were very reasonably priced, quiet, and clean. The staff were great, but make sure you have a translator as I Tianjin gets many English speaking visitors. The gym was surprisingly fantastic."
