"Good location to the old town. They had a parking garage below the hotel which was convenient but not cheap. I was told free parking was available in some nearby parts of the city, but as a US tourist, I didn't want to risk getting lost."

"We had a fantastic stay at Slottshotellet. Beautiful room, no AC, but a fan did the job. Breakfast was lovely, don't miss the option that you can order omelettes, fried eggs, porridge and so on... Though, the restaurant, especially the drinks, were very overpriced. And we found no place to sit outside at the Hotel area, with our own drinks, since every table was numbered and belonged to the Restaurant."

"There were many many trails to hike and bikes to Rent so we could ride into town... the bikes we rented were in really good shape and fit us perfectly with a few adjustments and we could ride to the castle and all around town and then many places to park the bikes and we had locks which was really good. We could also explore pass along the water which was beautiful and it just happened that the weather was very, very good. The people that worked at the reception were super nice and super helpful and the day that we left to the central station they were able to call us a taxi. It's not necessary to have a car there because if you wanna ride a bike, it's an easy bike ride into town and the whole area is a beautiful place to hike and bike and be on vacation and enjoy the views and the fresh air. The cabin was very comfortable and small. There was a place to cook and eat and lots of picnic tables outside so you could cook inside and take your food outside to the picnic tables and enjoy the Views."

"This was a historical building in the middle of charming Kalmar. Our family really enjoyed our rooms and the convenience the location offered as far as being able to walk and enjoy downtown. The breakfast was delicious and offered a variety of options. The staff was very kind and helpful as well."
