"The hotel is clean and pet friendly. There is a $150 hold which I wasn't aware of, so I called the front desk from my room to ask about the charge on my credit card. The person said that I needed to come to the front desk. She was very condescending while explaining the charge. "

"Terrible. There was shaved hair in our sink. The sink was stopped up. Hair on the bed. Outlets did not work. Blood (yes blood) on the door. We spoke after our initial entry to the front desk person about our sink not working, and she could not care less. "

"The property is under renovation. The lobby and breakfast area are a bit noisy with the work. The breakfast area was lacking tables and chairs, the floor was concrete due to the cobstruction. The breakfast was still delicious, and the room was comfortable. But, had I known the property was under construction, I would have booked elsewhere. "

"The fitness area was clean and had plenty of equipment and space to utilize it. The atmosphere was nice and welcoming. Tish (check-in) was kind and helpful. Amy (also check in) was VERY helpful & went above & beyond. The restaurant however, was much less impressive. The food was adequate & portions fine both afternoons we dined there. The coffee is unimpressive to blech status. The cake topper however, was the dinner host’s response when asked about the menu item. I inquired about the Coho salmon entree. He had no clue what ‘coho’ meant and shrugged his shoulders. He even said, “huh, I have no clue” and meandered off with his messy hair & untucked shirt as if he’d just rolled out of bed. Maybe this is just Lawrence KS, since we’d never visited this town. Interesting first experience here. The rooms shower water pressure was minimal. 5 stars however for covered parking and close proximity to campus and Mass street. "

"I love visiting here the staff is always friendly and the breakfast is always great. The building is in need of elevator repair and the gym could use a treadmill. "
