The rooms are separate from the other areas of the pub which make them very quiet. Each room has its own HVAC which allows for individual room temperature and comfort. The property is old, but pretty well kept. The bar and dining were very good, and the attention of the staff was excellent. I do wish the wifi would have been stronger, as I couldn't use it from my room, and had to go downstairs to use it.
Charming inn with some fascinating history in a small, sweet town near the England-Wales border. Our room had a little kitchenette with tea, coffee, and biscuits. The bubbling feature in the bathtub was a treat. The staff was all very kind and accommodating.

The house is really cosy and quirky, with twinkly lights that give it a lovely ambiance. The room itself was spacious, clean and cosy, with a very comfortable bed. We highly recommend this place and will definitely be stay again

Without hyperbole, this is one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been. The view out the back of the building—the Wye twisting into the West, flanked by lush green hills—is jaw-dropping. I couldn’t believe it. I took dozens of pictures at different times of day, wanting my loved ones back home to see what I was seeing, but of course, the pics didn’t do the view justice. The guesthouse is also a short drive into Hay, where the walk along the river is lovely, and the bookshops are really fun...
