This felt like a bed and breakfast. We had a huge and quiet bedroom with a private bath. There was a large eating area and a large family room area adjacent to one another. A small creek flowed on the back side of the property which could be seen and heard from the back patio. Breakfast was home cooked and great. We didn't have time to explore Cuchara but enjoyed the little time we stayed at Dodgeton Creek Inn.
We were delighted to find such a quaint and comfortable motel in such an isolated area. The Southwestern decor is perfect for locale, yet it has those little extra amenities in the suites like a Jacuzzi tub, full-size refrigerator and stove, and a sitting room that includes a wonderfully quaint and unusual Southwest wooden chairs that make you feel like a king when you sit in it.
