"The pool is not heated and even the kids had difficulty swimming at the end of June. Beach is nice to walk on. Did not go in the water. Jellyfish on the beach. The food is ok, not many options for kids and strong on fish (with lots of bones still in). Water is not included with dinner, so a minimum of 5 euros for a bottle. Hotel is a bit dated. Music in the hallways on speakers start at 7am. The grounds are nice and well maintained. The check in staff was nice and the kids enjoyed the flavored water at the desk. Parking was easy and free. Good location for activities nearby."

"Great breakfast buffet. Clean and comfortable rooms with special bath robes and towels provided daily for the thermal baths. Amazing to go before 10:30am and after 4:30pm when it’s only for the hotel guests. The gardens are beautiful and well maintained. Staff was very helpful. Some restaurants available across from the hotel for cheaper meals."

"We had an excellent stay here. The hotel is convenient. The breakfast is outstanding and the hotel is in walking distance to everything. We went to the mineral pools at night which were fantastic. We also walked around Furnas lake and paid 26 Euros( for two people )to park there and then go to the waterfall hike which was well worth it. We took a cold plunge into the pool at the bottom of the waterfall. It was freezing but so rejuvenating, highly recommend!!! We also took the 20 minute drive to Povoacao and swam at the beach there which we pretty much had to ourselves. Cool beach and cool town. Amazing views along the way"

"Overall, the property and stay were wonderful! The pools and hot tub were great, the gardens beautiful. The apartment was so stylish and beautifully designed. For those reading reviews to decide if they should book based on the bed type - it's a spring mattress, quite firm. It was comfortable, but not 'super comfortable'. I like a firm and supportive pillow.. these were softer and less supportive. The sofa bed for our son was fine for him, however, if you're a parent who may need to join in the night - it's not comfortable. unfortunately. The blackout blinds were GREAT. The kitchen was just enough for making breakfast and prepping our lunch for our daily outing. We didn't cook dinner here, but you could, it would just be a bit more simple, since there are only two cooktops. The dedicated parking was great. Overall, it was a lovely stay and the owners of the property are so kind and sweet."
