The hotel has changed hands since the last time we stayed but the atmosphere remains. A bit quaint and we did have a room overlooking the river. Quite nice. Rooms are small but adequate. Breakfast is extra and just minimal with coffee and croissants. Front staff was very chatty and friendly. It is about 2 or 3 blocks to reach restaurants and we tried two different ones and both were quite good.
IIF EXPEDIA HAD NOT CANCLLED OUR ROOM WITHOUT OUR KNOWLEDGE WE WOULD HAVE BEEN ABLE TO PAY LESS.
We had to pay more thank goodness they still had a room available or we would have been out on the street
The innkeeper made us feel welcome and pointed out several restaurants walking distance away. She opened her garage to store our recumbent trikes overnight.
We spent 2 nights on the property in October. It is like traveling in time. This is a very old construction. We enjoy the stay.
It must be nice to spend a week there in summer to enjoy the country (hike or ride bicycle).
