We loved the pool, sauna, steam room. We stopped for two nights to rest after a busy grad week. The rooms were nice and the food was great. Couldn’t book a spa treatment as they were all booked up. Everyone we met were friendly. We will be back.
The family room was lovely. Double bed for the adults and two singles for the teens with s sitting area and desk. Included breakfast had lots of variety. Room was clean and quiet. The restaurant had wonderful food with so many different options and portions were huge. No issue finding space in the car park even though they had an event taking place when we arrived.
My 3-night stay in January was nothing short of wonderful. My room was extremely well appointed and comfortable, with a lovely bathroom. The restaurant food was excellent both for breakfast and dinner and all the staff were so friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. The location for me was great as I had family in Colne and we did some travelling to the beautiful Yorkshire Dales. It's a great pub/hotel. I always stay there in the area (usually taking friends to climb Pendle Hill.) There's always a friendly welcome, good food, and the bedrooms are excellent
I had a choice of hotels in Leeds or the Black Horse. I'm so glad I chose the latter. Some extra driving, but great to be in a historic building in a historic area, and so close to the motorway and service station.
This was a beautiful property on the outskirts of town. It says convention center, but looks more like a castle. They do a lot of weddings there, we even saw one outside of our window during the two days we were there. Breakfast was good, the shower was good, it was convenient to have a pub right on the property. My only complaint was the bed. It was soft and lumpy, and I felt like I was rolling out of it.
Other than repeated difficulties we had finding the hotel upon returning from our daily genealogical research outings in the area, we had the MOST wonderful experience at this hotel.
The rooms were well-appointed and clean. The food--both the menu and preparation--was of the highest quality (i.e., what I might expect for a large city restaurant, but found in this small town on the outskirts of Leeds). Clean room everything we could want in a short stay. Staff on reception were very welcoming and helpful. Would highly recommend and stay here again. One of the nicest places I've stayed at and affordable too.
