Hotel room was small. The hotel has a hot spring bath/spa, a pleasant suprise. Breakfast was delicious.

This was a beautiful ryokan to stay. The staff are very helpful to english speaking visitors and can accommodate very well. This ryokan offers you to dine in an intimate setting so you're in a separate room with your guests/partner. Other ryokans have you sit in a restaurant style setting so you're in a large room with open tables. Our waitress and maid was super helpful and very caring for us while we stayed. The hotel is a bit dated but the location is excellent if you want to ride on the Gozaisho Ropeway. It is right next to the Ropeway station. Moreover and since we booked our room on a Sunday that traffic to the hotel is quite bad as a lot of people were driving to the summit to take the ropeway ride. On the other hand, we take advantage of its vicinity to the station that we are the first taking the ride the next day. Ticket to ropeway riding is sold in the hotel at a discount. The hotel...

It's a great location away from the busy life of the city. The lake is crystal clear and great to swim in though we did not see other swimmers. The rooms are small, yet suffice. I'll probably come back again.

All the rooms were incredibly clean and relaxing. The host was very accommodating and the location was perfect. I was able to walk around at night and really appreciate where I was. Also, the sauna was very wonderful and do the matcha tea ceremony. It was very calming.

Close to Kusatsu station and plenty of dining. Very small, typical Japanese rooms that should not be shared except with spouse. Excellent breakfast and staff and very clean and well kept in a quiet location just 2 blocks from city center.

Fantastic stay in this onsen style ryokan. Had a wonderful private onsen in our room, overlooking the river and the lake beyond. Can’t ask for a more perfect experience. Waking up early to soak in our private room onsen before dressing and heading down for the Japanese style breakfast included.
