Beautiful and romantic cottages in the woods of northern Iceland. Lovely furnishings with romantic touches like candles, bathrobes and bedding. Well kept, clean and fabulous outdoor hot tub. Plus very convenient to outstanding river rafting with Viking!

We loved staying here! The room was a little worn, but it was clean and comfortable. I would definitely stay here again because of the beauty of the surroundings.

We stayed here in early May and practically had the hotel to ourselves. I think only one other couple was staying that night. Despite having so few customers, the hotel put out their extensive buffet breakfast as usual. That was impressive! The room was comfortable and spotless. The location is convenient for visiting the Glaumbaer turf house museum and exploring the Skagafjordur area (a birder's delight).

No communication or appearance by staff except the email before arrival. The hot tub signage was not easy to locate and it took over 2 hours for tub to fill, as apparently it is emptied nightly instead of being covered. Other than that the rooms, showers and beds were very comfortable. The kitchen is clean and food available for breakfast. A bit tight in the kitchen if everyone who stayed needed to use it at the same time

This was a super welcoming guesthouse. Beautiful location and a comforting homely feeling in both the room and the breakfast area.
