We were doing a road tour of Sweden and just happened upon this lovely property situated on a lake surrounded by a conservation area. Our room was in the new building facing the water. The room was spotless and modern in design. Each room had a small balcony.The property is a spa and has all those features- massages,, saunas, steam, indoor and outdoor pools plus hot tubs. Fun property but getting check in info required multiple calls, emails, and eventually Hotels.com intervention. Shouldn't be that much work by the guests to confirm check in and get a door code.
The hotel itself only has 13 rooms, I think. The breakfast is pretty good, the staff are friendly and helpful. The front desk is only staffed a couple of hours during the day, so make sure you get the code to enter the hotel. I had just missed the summer 'peak', so there were only 2 restaurants open within easy walking distance. I only went to the Montecristo Restaurant. The food was good and the staff very friendly. My Visa card wouldn't work when I went to pay, so we worked it out in US...
The Hotell Park was excellent. The hotel and the cottage in which we stayed were beautifully decorated. The breakfast bar was wonderful. And the owners/staff were so friendly and helpful. I would stay again in this hotel if we visit the area.
