All rooms were different, very nicely appointed and roomy; comfortable beds. No in-room safe. I don't have any reference from other country houses. But in my opinion, five stars all the way. Common spaces were great. Very nice conservatory, glass on all sides. Formal living room with plenty of seating. Huge, manicured grounds. This is out in the country. Quiet....

There's true magic here! The most incredible, memorable experience with magic both inside and outside in the beautiful gardens and grounds. We loved the charm and setting of this hotel. The gardens are beautiful and sit on the banks of he Menai Straits. Each public room is wonderfully furnished with the charm of a French chateau. Our room had the best hotel shower I have ever seen with three different shower heads. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We had both breakfast and dinner at the hotel and both were very well done. In particular, I had a halibut baked in pastry that was a real gormet meal.
