"This is a fascinating historic property set in attractive gardens that lead down to the river. Our room was small (and advertised as such), but it was pleasant and comfortable, with a nice garden view. We had an excellent dinner in their garden restaurant, and a good breakfast."

"Great location and lovely rooms. The bed was super comfy and we had a great sleep. Though hotel was very busy it was also very quiet. The hotel is also very pet welcoming. Only food available in the evening was in the bar and to be honest the menu is not appropriate for a large hotel with only 4 starters ( of which one was unavailable) and six main courses - 4 of which came with boiled rice. This really needs improvement. The waitress ( there was only one) was lovely, very busy but also very courteous , attentive and friendly. Breakfast was continental but lots to chose from and good, fresh produce. Would absolutely stay again but unless menu changes would eat in nearby Helensburgh."
