"Car park was fully open contrary to several emails stating it was closed prior to our stay which almost caused me to cancel. Staff were lovely/ really friendly. Remote for tv was missing but was found and returned. (Unfortunately batteries were dead rendering it useless). Lovely bar area and food was really tasty. Really good stay."

"Hotel was exellent very clean room and lovely power shower fresh towels daily. Hotel reminds ne of scandanavian type in decore. Food was exellent. But starter menue a bit short and bland. Staff were amazing nothing too much trouble very proffessonal and friendly. Spar was amazing 2 thermal pools . Had treatments that were exellent."

"Lion Hotel has everything we required for our weeks stay. An excellent varied evening menu offering choices of both Indian and English dishes. The buffet breakfast offered all the usual fair which the staff constantly kept topped up. Our double room was spacious with clean en-suite facilities. All the hotel staff were pleasant and willing to help you in anyway they could. The bottom line is, yes we would be happy to stay at The Lion Hotel again."

"Second stay at this Beautiful old building with immense character. Love the place. Cheaper rooms are quite basic. But this time treated the with to the Regent suite - stunning room with 4 poster bed. Breakfast was amazing. Special mention to the young female serving at breakfast. So polite and helpful. And the night time young charming American barman. Only downside was the lift was broken. Alot of stairs to climb."

"We stayed in he hotel for 5 days. From the moment we arrived until we left the staff were very friendly and the the customer service was excellent. The staff made sure our stay was comfortable and nothing was too much to ask. We ate in the restaurant every night and tried many dishes from the menu. The food was excellent and could not fault any of the meals. Waiting staff, chef, front of house and bar staff well done. Very enjoyable holiday in lovely surroundings."
