"Our recent stay at Þingholt by Center Hotels was absolutely fantastic — and honestly, you can’t beat the location, location, location! Situated right in the heart of Reykjavík, the hotel is perfectly placed for shopping, dining, and exploring the city’s top sights. If you’re joining guided tours, Bus Stop #6 is only a three-minute walk away, which made everything incredibly convenient.
The staff were super friendly and welcoming throughout our stay, always happy to help. Our room was spotless and thoughtfully equipped with a minibar and small fridge, which was a nice touch after long days of sightseeing. Breakfast each morning was delicious, and we especially enjoyed the hotel’s happy hour at the bar.
There’s also a cozy spa and a small gym available for guests (exercise bikes and dumbbells). While the hotel doesn’t offer free parking, we found it very easy to park nearby. Free parking is available along the residential edges of the city center and at a free lot near the church, and with the Easy Park app, managing parking was simple. We had a car for the entire week and never had any issues.
