"The front desk is the face of the Grand Roatan Kimpton resort. The receptionist's service was unacceptable for a hotel of this level. We arrived at the Kimpton on February 17 at noon, like many other guests, a line of almost two dozen guests was behind us. But, after a long talk that we hadn't booked a bungalow, we couldn't reach an agreement. We are 72 and 78 years old, and without any respect, were sent to a separate bungalow with a dangerous staircase inside, the unlit, with broken lighting and a crooked gravel approach. I have a video. We asked to speak to the manager, and one of the three young men suddenly told us he was the manager. We were treated as if we had done something bad and were being punished for it. The receptionist explained that we booked our vacation through Expedia, not through IGH, and chose the wrong room. We can't pay extra, and there are no available rooms for us! All the remaining guests stayed in the building; we could see them heading to the elevator. We met and focused on the money only, and we did not get any customer appreciation or empathy. The damage was done. The next morning, professional front desk supervisor Belkis quickly got the room that matched our reservation. Dear Belkis! Thank you very much. The hotel was not fully booked at all. This was our second visit to the Kimpton resort. This year we appreciate the breakfast waitress Jeidsi Valdez at Alera, the friendly Kianny waitress at the Sea Cat, beach guard Byron."

"The beach view was obstruced and the beach full of seaweed. The resort burnt down to the ground while we were there."

"The beach was nice. The staff was friendly. Food was reasonably priced. We stated an ocean front room on the first floor. It was small, but all we needed. It was short steps from the ocean. Overall, very satisfied with our stay."

"The staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and spacious. Bed was very comfortable. The hotel provided a tour free of charge that was fun. They picked us up and we took a tour of some of the island. We were able to get off the small boat and get in the water. Water was nice and warm. My only complaint is there is no food substitutions for the all inclusive buffett. You cannot order anything outside of the food options that are already put out. That includes snacks. What you see is what you get. They had night shows every night presented by their "Animation Team". I liked the music and dancing. Overall, a wonderful experience. Highly recommend!"

"This is our second time back to this place. It is such an incredible all inclusive resort at one of the best locations in all of Roatan. "

"Our room was clean and updated but not in the best location. it was third floor and did not have a good view of anything. In spite of that we saw eight Macaws in the tree outside our room on our first morning so we were very lucky!"

"The property was beautiful and pretty empty. They stated free transportation to the hotel but be never showed up and the we made another reservation for my brother coming home the next day and they never showed again even after calling them in the morning and reminding them and them reassuring me they would be there but didn’t show show again. Then we asked for transportation to the airport when leaving and they said they only had 9am and 12 but 9 was too early and 12 too late. We waited for a taxi at 11 and they were taking a group I asked what’s up with that and they said oh well we are going to pick someone up so we are taking them. They didnt come clean the room the last day and seamed like they didn’t care . Also they say beach front BUT ITS NOT!!!! It’s a 4 min drive and then a 5-10 min boat ride and they only take you at 10 and 2 and come back at 5 prices were great "
