The Salthouse is in a beautiful setting overlooking the sea, our room with two queen beds was spacious and very comfortable the large bathroom immaculate. Food and service for dinner and breakfast excellent.

Fabulous hotel staff food location all beyond expectations however the opening times for the thermal village could be better -ensure any booking includes the spa cost of £45 per person per day-swimming only at spa times

While the Hotel and Spa were lovely. The fact thst spa access is not included when booking with Hotel.com is a major disappointment. Its very much advertised as a spa Hotel with no indication that the spa is an extra cost. The extra cost is £45 per son for 1 of 2 hours (can't remember) Therefore no access in the morning either.

Stunning location, really luxurious experience. Gorgeous, comfortable king size bed. Huge bathroom with walk in shower. Fabulous breakfast made to order which is such a welcome change from the usual buffet style that most hotels nowadays offer.

Hotel position is great, views are wonderful. It was clean and tastefully decorated. However, our room view was of a large metal storage structure! The staff, especially the reception staff were not at all welcoming, only one managed to say good morning during our stay.. most of the restaurant staff were really good and knew what they were doing but in general the atmosphere is not happy

La chambre attribuée n’était pas le type de chambre réservée. Il s’agissait d’une chambre accessible aux personnes avec un handicap (ce qui n’est en soit absolument pas un souci) mais qui ne sert apparemment pas très souvent. Le ménage avait du y être fait depuis longtemps : un tapis de poussière sur 1 des lampes de chevet, des moisissures sur le support de la poignée de douche et la porte de la salle de bain tachée. L’accès à la piscine est payant car intégrée au spa : c’est quand même regrettable. Sinon le reste, très bien : petit-déjeuner et dîner excellents ; personnels attentionnés. Mais au final, rien de très luxueux dans cet hôtel que je ne recommanderais pas.

Points to consider when booking: *we were allocated an accessible room which we didn’t require nor request *ground floor room so couldn’t open windows which needed opened as it was too warm & stuffy *toilet seat broken & tiles in wet room needed a bit of grout cleaner. Also no soap at the main bathroom sink *the duvet & pillows stank of stale sweat *despite pre advising staff of us celebrating a birthday & then being asked if we were celebrating anything at check in there was no reference to this again throughout the stay *spa was lovely even though we had to pay £35 each to use it *drinks exceptionally over priced in the bar (I wouldn’t mind if they even came with complimentary snacks or something) *breakfast was just ok, felt SO restrictive I feel this place gets a lot of hype via the “insta influencers” but for the price point I would expect way more especially as their “competitor” hotel costs much the same but you get a lot more for your ££. I wouldn’t book again or recommend unfortunately..

Would highly recommend a stay at the Salthouse and would definitely encourage you to also book the thermal suite/spa. We had a great stay from start to finish. Staff are friendly and helpful, the property is beautiful and squeaky clean, the location is out of this world. We had lovely sunny weather which probably helped but we felt like we had left NI for abroad. We had lunch in the restaurant and the food was excellent, would definitely recommend the honeycomb ice cream sundae! And we had breakfast included in our stay which was really special with amazing food. We will definitely be back.

We had a very relaxing break at the Salthouse. The scenery and hotel are absolutely beautiful! All of staff were very friendly and attentive. We ate in the Look Out on both evenings and my husband and myself agreed that it was the best meal we have eaten in along time! Can’t wait to return!
